BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

BY MAKING A BOOKING WITH TATTOO TRAINING ACADEMY YOU ARE AGREEING TO OUR BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS AS DETAILED BELOW. YOU HAVE A 14 DAY COOLING OFF PERIOD FROM THE DATE OF BOOKING TO CANCEL YOUR CONTRACT WITHOUT PENALTY UNDER THE CONSUMER CONTRACT REGULATIONS. AFTER 14 DAYS OUR CANCELLATION TERMS WILL APPLY. YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS ARE NOT AFFECTED. 

  1. About these terms and conditions

1.1 In these terms and conditions “we”, “our”, “us” and ‘’TTA’’ refer to Tattoo Training Academy  and “you” and “your” refers to the customer purchasing a training course.

1.2 TTA operates from the domain tattootrainingacademy.co.uk 

 

  1. Booking your training course

2.1 Tattoo Training Academy reserves the right to decline admission to any of its training courses.

2.2 Tattoo Training Academy reserves the right to cancel or change planned training courses in terms of dates and locations. You will be notified at least 24 hours in advance of any planning changes and a full refund given in the event of cancellation or should you be unable to attend due to any changes we make.

2.3 Irrespective of circumstances, Tattoo Training Academy accepts no liability for any loss of earnings or expenses incurred by you or any models.

 

  1. Paying for your training course

3.1 You may pay for your training course via bank transfer or credit/debit card only.

3.2 You may pay for your training course in one of two following ways unless otherwise agreed in writing:

3.2.1 Payment in full – you are required to pay the full price of your course prior to attending your training course. An order confirmation confirming your place will be sent when payment is received in full.

3.2.2 Up to 3 monthly payments – you are required to pay the deposit of your course in order to secure your place on a course date. We will then contact you to arrange up to 3 monthly payment dates when additional payments can be taken by bank transfer only. An order confirmation confirming your place will be sent when we receive your deposit payment.

3.3 Whether you are paying in full or in instalments, the balance must be paid in full prior at least 3 weeks (21 calendar days) prior to the course starting unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

  1. Cancelling your training course booking

We understand that sometimes plans change and you may need to change your arrangements. Please see below our Terms & Conditions for how we handle cancellations and amendments, these rules also apply to sickness. Under consumer contract law you have 14 days to cancel and receive a full refund without penalty. If more than 14 days passes since your booking then our cancellation terms will apply as below.

4.1 Should you wish to cancel your booking, the following terms and conditions apply:

4.1.1 All cancellations must be made in writing by filling out the contact form on the contact or course page of this website. All cancellations will incur a £150.00 admin charge.

4.1.2 Cancellations more than 8 weeks (56 calendar days) before your course date– please contact us to obtain a refund.

4.1.3 Cancellations between 6 and 7 weeks (42-49 calendar days) before your course date– there is a 50% charge of the full course price, excluding any special offers or discount, plus the admin charge, please contact us to obtain a partial refund.

4.1.4 Cancelling less than 6 weeks (41 calendar days) before your course date – 100% of the course fees must be paid plus the admin charge of £150.00

4.1.5 Any remaining balance on a customers account must be allocated within 12 months or will be void.

 

  1. Amending and transferring your training course booking

5.1 Should you wish to amend your booking by changing your course date, the following terms and conditions apply:

5.1.1 All requests to change course date must be made in writing by filling out the contact form on the contact or course page of this website and will incur a £150.00 admin charge.

5.1.2 Tattoo Training Academy cannot guarantee you a place on your chosen alternative course date. If a place cannot be provided on your preferred date, you will be offered a refund in line with the terms and conditions in Section 4 of this document.

5.1.3 Changing course date rearrangement fees:

  • Changing date between 1-6 working weeks (7-42 calendar days) before your original training course date – there is a 50% charge for changing date plus the administration charge of £150.
  • Changing date 1 week (6 calendar days) of course date – there is 80% charge plus £150 admin fee.
  • Changing date within 48 hours – 100% fee plus £150 admin fee

We apply these fees because the closer it gets to the course date, the harder it is to fill the spaces.  If you need to change your course, please contact us to book onto a different date and to pay the residual charge required if necessary. Unfortunately, no exceptions can be made.

5.1.4. Transferring your training course booking.

5.1.5 Should you wish to transfer your booking by assigning the training course to another named person, the following terms and conditions apply:

 Transferring to another person at least 12 working weeks before the training date - there is a 20% charge for the name change transfer + £150 administration charge.

Transferring to another person between 6-11 working weeks before the training date - there is a 30% charge for the name change transfer + £150 administration charge.

Transferring to another person between 1-5 working weeks before the training date - there is a 50% charge for the name change transfer + £150 administration charge.

Transferring to another person between 1-6 working days before the training date - there is a 60% charge for the name change transfer + £150 administration charge.

Transferring to another person on the day of training - there is a 70% charge for the name change transfer + £150 administration charge.

  1. Data Protection

7.1 In booking a training course with Tattoo Training Academy, you agree to us using any data you submit in order to process your order and for future marketing purposes.

7.2 Your details will not be transferred to any third party without your written consent.

7.3 Credit/debit/charge card information may be securely stored for the purpose of your booking.

 

  1. Complaints

8.1 Tattoo Training Academy takes pride in the quality of its service and as such will try to resolve any complaints as quickly as possible.

8.2 Complaints about any aspect of Tattoo Training Academy should be made in writing by emailing us. To email us fill out the contact us form on the contact or course page of this website.

8.3 Complaints received will be acknowledged by return email within 14 working days of receipt.

8.4 If you are notified your complaint is being reviewed as part of an internal investigation, you will be notified of the resolution/outcome within 8 working weeks.

8.5 Should you disagree with the outcome of our internal investigation you may appeal this within 14 working days by responding to the email that delivered the investigation outcome.

8.6 Appeals will be acknowledged by return email within 14 working days of receipt. 

8.7 Once you appeal has been acknowledged you will be notified of the final outcome by email within 4 working weeks.

8.8 Should you still not be satisfied with the final outcome of your appeal you should seek legal advice to see if you have any grounds to open a case in the small claims court.

 

  1. Class sizes

9.1 Tattoo Training Academy will always try to maintain the advertised number of students on a course where possible.

9.2 Should you attend a course which contains more than the advertised number, including private courses, you have the option to reschedule the class for another date.

9.3 If you are eligible to reschedule the course date, you must do this by completing the contact form on this website before 50% of the course has been completed.

9.4 Tattoo Training Academy will not issue a refund on the basis that the number of students in a class is different from that advertised.

9.5 Class sizes can change at any time, without notice.

9.6 Tattoo Training Academy will not be liable for any loss, damage or costs incurred by rearranging the course for an alternative date or cancellation.

 

  1. Models

10.1 Tattoo Training Academy will try to provide you with a reasonable number of models as is necessary for your chosen course and skill level.

10.2 Tattoo Training Academy will always try to supply you with the number of models advertised or recommended to you by our staff.

10.3 Where the lead trainer of the course deems your skills acceptable and competent, even when a different number of models has been provided than that advertised, you will not be eligible for any refund.

10.4 Should the lead trainer determine you are not able to complete the course due to insufficient or unsuitable models, Tattoo Training Academy will offer you an alternative course date so you can complete the course.

10.5 Where the number of models differs from that advertised you will not be eligible to reschedule the course for an alternative date unless point 10.4 applies.

10.6 Tattoo Training Academy will not be liable for any loss, damage or costs incurred by rearranging the course for an alternative date or cancellation.

 

  1. Training provider

11.1 Courses provided by Tattoo Training Academy are taught by either direct employees or individual franchisee's or subcontracted self employed tutors.

11.2 Where courses are taught by direct employee's Tattoo Training Academy will issue all invoices and payment receipts.

11.3 If a course is being delivered by someone other than a direct employee of Tattoo Training Academy then any balances or other monies paid will be subject to invoices or payment receipts being issued directly by that such person and not tattoo training academy.

11.4 In any case, Tattoo Training Academy will be responsible for the training delivered and will mediate any complaint which may arise. 

 

  1. Collecting unpaid invoices and fee's

12.1 Should an outstanding invoice or fee not be paid on time we will pursue you for payment.

12.2 Where you have provided a credit/debit/charge card to pay your deposit we may charge this card to recover your outstanding balance in full or part.

12.3 If any invoices or fees have not been paid within 7 days past the due date we may start legal proceedings against you or your company. 

12.4 These conditions will apply to those who have not started a course, have partially completed a course or have fully completed a course.

12.5 These conditions will apply in all cases, there are no exceptions including illness or matters which you deem to be out of your control. 

 

  1. Free, promotional and complimentary products and services.

13.1 Any products or services offered are subject to availability.

13.2 Where products or services are advertised of a certain value, this is the cost of the products or services should you of had to purchase them from us at our regular selling price.

13.3 Products will be provided on the day of training or within 28 days of completing your training course.

13.4 Services will be provided within 28 days of completing your training course.

13.5 You will have no claim to a refund of any kind should a free product or service be out of stock or unavailable.


  1. Training location and tutor.

14.1 We aim to provide hands on practical training using tutors with relevant experience. 

14.2 Should you not be satisfied with your training or tutor, you must notify us on the same day. We will work with you to resolve the problem to the best of our ability.

14.3 Cancellations are not accepted on the basis that you are not happy with the training or tutor, we will instead, at our discretion, provide you with an alternative training location and tutor.

14.4 Where we provide you with an alternative training location and tutor the training dates we provide may differ from that of your original booking and we will not be responsible for any inconvenience, loss or damage.


  1. Non Attendance

15.1 Once a training course has been booked you must attend on the specified date and time to avoid your course being cancelled, without refund. If there is any outstanding balance, this will become payable also.

15.2 If you do not attend on one or more days during your course, for any reason including sickness, you will lose these days, they are not transferable or redeemable at a later date.

15.3 If your tutor believes you will not be able to pass a course due to missed training day/s, he/she may cancel your course without refund.

15.4 If you do not arrive for your training class on time but do arrive at a later time, your tutor may cancel your course for that specific day but not the whole course.

15.5 It is your responsibility to arrive on time, you should plan ahead and account for road works or other delays.

15.6  Unfortunately there are no exceptions, regardless of reasons or circumstances.


  1. Behaviour

16.1 You are required to act in a respectful manner at all times to other students, customers and tutors.

16.2 Abusive language and behaviour will not be tolerated.

16.3 The safety of our students, customers and tutors is paramount, you should follow all safety instructions from your tutor.

16.4 We will cancel your training and expel you immediately without refund if you are suspected to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, solvents or other harmful or intoxicating substances.

16.5 We may remove you from a training course and cancel the remaining training, without refund, if we feel you do not adhere to these terms.


  1. Body Piercing Training Courses

17.1 Course content may vary slightly from that originally advertised on tattootrainingacademy.co.uk

17.2 Genital piercing training practice is only carried out on persons of the same sex as the trainee, unless otherwise agreed in writing. 

17.3 The tutor will decide on what type of piercings you must complete to pass the course successfully. If there are certain piercing which you have not completed due to circumstances out of your control we will invite you back to complete additional training day/s  to complete these piercings. You will not be entitled to any partial or full refund, including if the new additional training dates which are offered to you are not suitable. We will always try to work for dates which suit both the trainee and the tutor.

17.4 We do not guarantee the number of models you will be practising on.

17.5 We try to cover as many body piercing as practically possible, however we cannot guarantee an exact number.

17.6 It is required that you study the pre course learning materials provided to you before attending any body piercing course. If the tutor feels you have not got the required knowledge from the pre course learning materials he/she will remove you from the course and you will be required to study the materials at home and then book in again for your practical training, there is no additional charge for this. You will not be entitled to any partial or full refund, including if the new training dates which are offered to you are not suitable.

17.1 Course content may vary slightly from that originally advertised on tattootrainingacademy.co.uk

17.2 Tattoo training practice is only carried out on both male and females and may include intimate body areas.

17.3 We do not guarantee the number of models you will be practising on.

17.4 We try to cover as many tattoo techniques as practically possible, however we cannot guarantee an exact number.
